In a world of patterns, color, and history, I have found my new adventure. I work with marbling on paper and fabric. An ancient craft cultivated for centuries, where each print becomes a living picture, never quite like the previous one. It is a slow and poetic work that allows time to stand still and opens up space for contemplation.

Inspiration is drawn from both here in Denmark and on travels, especially in France, where we have a summer house. Exploring the small flea markets, where French vintage finds with patina and soul find a new home. Their colors, shapes, and stories become part of the creative process, an echo from the past merging with the handmade in the present.

The aspiration is to eventually share this universe with others through workshops, both here at home and in France, so more people can experience the magic of the craftsmanship that transforms natural materials into unique artworks.

Here you can follow along, discover special finds, and be inspired by a world where the past and present converge in the play of colors.

This series of decorative silk handkerchiefs emerged from a moment where color took the lead. Each piece is hand marbled on silk, guided by intuition rather than control.

The process became an immersive exploration of color and flow  one where it was genuinely hard to stop. Layer after layer, the patterns evolved organically, capturing the joy of experimentation.

No two handkerchiefs are alike. Each carries its own rhythm, depth, expression, and the beauty of variation and the pleasure of working slowly with the hands.

Designed as decorative objects, these silk handkerchiefs can be displayed, styled, or simply appreciated for their painterly quality andtactile elegance, maybe for the man in your life.

Our very first lampshades have arrived, and what a joy it is to see our work transformed into something so beautifully functional. Each shade is crafted from 100% hand-marbled silk, allowing it to be rotated for different expressions and moods. Every piece is truly one of a kind a unique artwork that brings character and softness to any room.

A world of craftsmanship

Several projects underway simultaneously: a handmade box, a notebook, and a small French iron frame, all clad in the same marbled cotton paper. Inside the box lies a silk pocket square for the breast pocket, also marbled, like a gentle echo of colors and patterns. A collection where materials, textures, and craftsmanship come together in a shared expression.

Hand-marbled silk lampshade

Made of 100% silk and hand-marbled in soft gray, golden, and beige hues. The shade beautifully complements the antique lamp design and the early 19th-century wallpaper "Jeux Olympiques" by Joseph Dufour. A delicate interplay of texture, light, and history.

An antique mirror from France has been given a new function, replacing the space where a photo or illustration would have been placed. The opening now features a piece of marbled calligraphy paper. This paper was originally made for calligraphy purposes, making it very thin and delicate in structure.

Marbling this type of paper requires great precision, as it becomes highly porous when in contact with water during the process. The surface must be handled carefully to prevent the paper from tearing, while ensuring that the colors flow evenly to create a harmonious pattern.

The result is a unique piece that combines the antique with the handmade. The delicate calligraphy paper enhances the mirror's character, giving the whole a light and poetic expression.

Inspiration from the early mornings in late spring by the lakes of Sortedam in Copenhagen. Where chestnut blossoms in the breeze fall and cover the water, pink, white, and green. All of this turned into these prints and ribbons to weave fragrant lavender bouquets with in France in the upcoming summer.

This photo series is inspired by a visit to Antoinette Poissons shop in Paris, where the craftsmanship and aesthetics of the 18th century continue to thrive. The shop is dedicated to techniques and patterns from the time of Marie Antoinette, when hand-printed papers were used for wallpapers, boxes, notebooks, and other decorative purposes.

The hand-printed papers are created through a slow and precise process, where colors are applied layer by layer. The color palette is soft and harmonious, with dusty blues, delicate green tones, powder pink, and warm ochre colors all characteristic of the period.

All of this I have tried to capture in my own interpretation on marbled paper. In the meeting between history, colors, and the fluid marbling, an expression emerges that both honors the tradition and breathes new life into it.
